## Purpose
Maintain accurate records of all incoming emails and acknowledgments for audit, follow-up, and performance tracking.

## Log Entry Fields
- **Timestamp**: ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS UTC)
- **Sender Email**: Full email address
- **Sender Name**: Name if available, otherwise "Unknown"
- **Subject**: Original subject line
- **Acknowledgment Sent**: Timestamp when acknowledgment email was sent
- **Webmaster Notified**: Timestamp when webmaster notification was sent
- **Status**: "Processed" or "Error"
- **Notes**: Any issues or special handling

## Logging Best Practices
- Record entries immediately after processing
- Use consistent formatting for searchability
- Flag any failed acknowledgments for manual review
- Archive logs monthly for historical reference
- Never include sensitive personal information beyond email address
